I am originally from Whitefish, Montana. I am proud of the beautiful state I grew up in and will share lots of stories with you this year about life in Montana. After completing college, I moved to Boston where I lived and worked for five years. Three years ago, I said goodbye to my New England community and moved to Denver to pursue a Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado Denver. I am grateful to be back in the Rocky Mountains and enjoy skiing with my husband in the winter and hiking in the summer. My journey at Edison Elementary began two years ago as a Student Teacher in Mrs. Dougherty’s class. I had an amazing experience last year teaching second grade and am excited for my second year working at Edison! As a teacher, I believe in strong relationships with my students and their families. I look forward to creating partnerships with the guardians of my students to ensure each individual child’s needs are met in my classroom. As a teacher, I am a learner first and foremost. I believe in holding high expectations for all students while promoting a supportive learning environment. My goal is for each student to feel welcome and celebrated in our classroom community as they develop into life long learners.
